Defunding the Police Isn’t Deleting Law and Order. Defunding the Militarized Police State is What’s Necessary.

Whenever we are in a recession and budgets are cut, education is crippled while the police budget is untouchable.

How does it make sense that all departments and functions of government share equally in reductions except the Police and the Pentagon whose budgets always get bigger?

When it comes to the Post Office, they got to budget for 50 years’ worth of medical expenses.

When it comes to the Police, we taxpayers pay for the settlements they consistently cause with their excessive use of force.

Defunding the police is a clarion call. It is simple.

It clearly reframes the misplaced priorities of the racist capitalists that run this government.

Now let’s get past should we or shouldn’t we, and talk about the specific line items in their budget.
